CASE – GIT006
Main Signs and Symptoms:
Pain in the left lower abdomen that has been present for over one week. Dull constant pain, constipation alternating with diarrhea. History of diverticulitis for many years and often has bouts of abdominal pain. She visited her GP who gave her some antibiotics, but the pain continued to worsen.
Other Signs and Symptoms:
On inspection, she had pale complexion, tired appearance and dull spirit; on palpation the abdomen had was soft with acute tenderness in the left lower quadrant.
