Main Signs and Symptoms: Gums swollen red and painful, toothache with some teeth loose and wobbly, gums very sensitive to pressure (i.e. painful), exudation of pus when pressure applied to the gum, difficulty with biting down on the teeth and has great difficulty eating. Dental hygienist cleaned under the gums and prescribed a course of antibiotics but there was no improvement. Dentist advised her to have the teeth removed.
